Daily Inspection

Miners must inspect their own SCSRs before every shift. This segment shows what to look for, and when to turn an SCSR in for a replacement: how to inspect the carrying pouch, moisture and temperature indicators, and date of manufacture; and how to evaluate external damage. Applies to both SR-100 and SRLD models. (07:19)

Self-Rescuer Long Duration (SRLD)

The new SRLD Self-Contained Self-Rescuer (SCSR) offers a 40 percent faster production of oxygen at the start up, as well as a 10 percent total increase in oxygen production.
