A Revolutionary Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus Featuring QuickStart Technology
P/N: Q155005001001
Certified to Australian standards, the ASR is the smallest and lightest 45-minute belt wearable SCSR available today. The ASR is not a traditional oxygen tank, it utilizes technology used by space agencies to chemically generate oxygen while also removing carbon dioxide from a user’s breath. Designed so that it can be carried every day or stored away for up to 10 years without maintenance. The ASR can be used in application such as, mining, tunneling, industrial plants, underground utilities, government buildings, or even panic rooms.
Occasionally, under stress, a user disables his or her SCSR by letting vital starter oxygen escape from the mouthpiece while donning. If no backup SCSR is handy, there is still a Plan B- starting the SCSR with lungpower alone. By watching this segment, you'll learn how to perform a manual start, resume donning, and head for safety. (04:30)
The time it takes to escape may exceed the duration of the SCSR you first donned in an emergency. If it does, you'll need to change over to a spare unit while the surrounding air is still unsafe to breathe. This segment explains when to change over, and demonstrates the steps for doing it smoothly and safely. (04:49)
With step-by-step instructions, this segment shows how to conduct expectation training using the CSE SR-MP. Trainees will experience the fit of the mouthpiece and the breathing resistance and heat that build up toward the end of a CSE SCSR's operating duration. Applies to all CSE SCSR models. (03:31)
