NEW! In this training video you'll learn how to Don (put on) your CSE Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus, with the model SRLD. This updated video incorporates real-world feedback, and shares it in an easy to follow program. If you use or train others in the USE of SCSR's EEBD's, or EEBA's and use the CSE Model SRLD, then this training video can help your safety training.
SRLD Daily Inspection
July 14, 2022
NEW 2022! Learn how to perform the Daily Inspection for the SRLD.
Users must inspect their own SCSRs before every shift. This segment shows what to look for, and when to turn an SCSR in for a replacement: how to inspect the carrying pouch, moisture and temperature indicators, and date of manufacture; and how to evaluate external damage. (07:19)
SRLD 90-Day Inspection
July 14, 2022
NEW 2022! Learn how to perform the 90-Day Inspection for the SRLD.
This newly updated 2022 training video provides you with the "How To" knowledge of properly performing the recommended 90-Day Inspection for your CSE Emergency Escape Breathing Device (EEBD) also known as a Self-Contained Self-Rescuer (SCSR). This video applies to the Model SRLD, and incorporates real-world feedback into an easy to follow process.
SCSR Manual Start
February 20, 2018
Learn how to perform a Manual Start with the SRLD or ASR.
Occasionally, under stress, a user disables his or her SCSR by letting vital starter oxygen escape from the mouthpiece while donning. If no backup SCSR is handy, there is still a Plan B- starting the SCSR with lungpower alone. By watching this segment, you'll learn how to perform a manual start, resume donning, and head for safety. Learn how to perform a Changeover with the CSE SCSR.
The time it takes to escape may exceed the duration of the SCSR you first donned in an emergency. If it does, you'll need to change over to a spare unit while the surrounding air is still unsafe to breathe. This segment explains when to change over, and demonstrates the steps for doing it smoothly and safely. (04:49)
This segment demonstrates CSE SCSR donning practice with the CSE SR-D. The SR-D also offers expectation training for the rise in breathing resistance that normally accompanies SCSR operation, as well as for the fit of the mouthpiece and the size and shape of the SCSR in use. Applies to the SRLD and ASR models. (05:00)
If an SCSR user loses the unit's starter oxygen through the mouthpiece before it can inflate the breathing bag, manually starting the unit can be a life-saving skill. This segment shows how to practice the manual start using the CSE SR-T, which also demonstrates the range of temperature and breathing resistance of an actual SCSR. Applies to all CSE SCSR models. (06:14)
With step-by-step instructions, this segment shows how to conduct expectation training using the CSE SR-MP. Trainees will experience the fit of the mouthpiece and the breathing resistance and heat that build up toward the end of a CSE SCSR's operating duration. Applies to all CSE SCSR models. (03:31)
